October 1st, 2019
Dear Parent/ Guardian,
It may not feel like fall yet, but it is time for St. Patrick’s Farm Festival. As part of our physical education program, the Kindergarten through 4th grade classes will be learning about farming and the importance of farming to our community. Your child will be put on “farms” within their homeroom class. Each farm will have a name voted on by the students in the individual classes. The farm’s manager is the student whose suggested farm team name gets chosen. The students have specific duties on their farm to perform on the day of the farm festival. Some of the activities are picking apples from trees, hurdling bails of straw, milking cows, having a potato hunt/dig, and pumpkin picking. Please let me know if your child has any allergies related to any of these items.
During the week of October 21st, each grade will participate in farming games for that weeks’ physical education class. All games will be located on site at St. Patrick School. We would love to see you there.
The schedule is as follows: Kindergarten Monday, October 21st, 12:45-1:45
1st Grade Wednesday, October 23rd, 12:45-1:45

3rd Grade Friday, October 25th, 8:30-9:30am
